The Finnish Ski Orienteering Championships in Sprint, Pursuit and Vantaan hiihtorastit event in Vantaa Hakunila on 31 January - 1 February 2026
The Finnish Championship sprint and pursuit competitions, as well as the Vantaan Hiihtorastit, were held in sunny winter weather!
A dense network of tracks had been prepared in the terrain, and the course setters had designed memorable courses.
The organizing clubs Rasti‑Jyry, Pihkaniskat and OK 77 would like to thank all participants and volunteers for their positive attitude and wish everyone a successful ski orienteering season.

- The competition number is also attached to the corner of the map so that it is readable when approaching the map holder.
- In the M21E/H20 and W21E/D20 classes, the map must be turned over on the first map of the pursuit. The first half is on the inside of the rolled map on the map wall, and the second half on the outside.

Sunday’s February 1st start times have been postponed by al least one hour
The first starts of the pursuit will therefore take place from 11:00 onwards, and for Vantaan Hiihtorastit event from 13:30. Those who will enjoy recreational orienteering can start at 14:00. Finish will close at 16:30.

The start times of Saturday’s 31 January 2026 Finnish Championship sprints have been moved forward by one hour.
The competition management has decided to postpone the start times of Saturday’s 31 January 2026 Finnish Championship sprint competitions by one hour due to the cold weather forecast. The first starts will therefore be at 12:00. Welcome to Hakunila!

Almost 400 participants in Finnish Championships
For the moment we have 396 participants in the Finnish Championships and 216 are taking part in national Vantaan Hiihtorastit

To receive WRE points, a competitor must have an IOF ID, which must also be added to their personal information in IRMA.
Create your IOF ID on the Eventor website and then add it to IRMA.

Entries (sprint, pursuit and Vantaan hiihtorastit ) must be made in IRMA by Sunday, 25 January 2026.
Late entry for the Vantaan hiihtorastit event is possible until Wednesday, 28 January 2026.
